Trip to Northern Lights Lakeside Resort
Join the club on our March trip to the Northern Lights Lakeside Resort in Little Lake, Mich., on March 4-7, 2010. The trip has been organized by Arlyn Baumgarten and Jim Van Cleve.
The resort is in the heart of Michigan's Upper Pennisula and is one hour north of Escanaba. Marquette, Munising and other area attractions are within easy riding distances, as are Big Bay, Republic, Arnold and others.
A block of fully furnished, comfortable cabins has been reserved under Prairie Riders Snowmobile Club, c/o Arlyn Baumgarten. Three cabins have been reserved by club members already. The cottages house four to eight guests, depending on the unit.
The available units are:
- Cottage 2: $110 per night, double occupancy. Sleeps up to eight.
- Cottage 7a: $95 per night, double occupancy. Sleeps up to six.
- Cottage 8: $100 per night, double occupancy. Sleeps up to six.
There is a $10 fee per person per night for each occupant beyond two in all of the cabins. The block of cabins will be held until February 1, 2010.
The club dinner will be held Saturday, March 6, at 7 p.m., in the Up North Restaurant and Lodge.

Here's the "official" club update from the March 2010 newsletter for the Northern Lights Trip:
The Club trip of March 3-8, 2010, to Little Lake, Mich., and related areas was a great success and a lot of fun! 25 members stayed at the Northern Lights Lakeside Resort in Little Lake and enjoyed balmy weather, reaching into the 50s, but the trails held up remarkably well. Some members put on around 700 miles.
We all gathered for a great club dinner on Saturday evening at the Up North in Gwinn, Mich. Our hosts, John and Loxia Hipsky at the Northern Lights, were delighted with the club and offered to contribute a donation to our fundraiser next year. (I think they also want to put something on our web site.)
Thanks to all who participated for a great weekend and a successful trip. Special thanks to Arlyn and Jim!
