Summer Camping Trip 2005
On July 15-17, 2005, Prairie Riders summer camping trip was held at Pearl Lake Campground in South Beloit, Ill., a resort on the Illinois-Wisconsin state line. Outdoor attractions include camping, scuba diving and swimming at beautiful Pearl Lake. Guests also could enjoy a dinner at Pearl Lake Restaurant.The campground has basic tenting sites as well as sites with electricity and water, and the restrooms have flush toilets and hot water showers.
A large sand beach at the campground provides room for sunning and a gently sloping bottom for safe and enjoyable swimming makes. Clearly marked, roped sections lead out to a large deep water raft. Trained lifeguards are on duty whenever the beach is open, and a bath house is located adjacent to the beach. Cocktails are available at the Beach Bar, and the snack bar offers burgers, hot dogs and ice cream.
