Snowmobile Safety Course

sledsThe annual Prairie Rider's Snowmobile Safety Course was held on December 4 and December 5, 2009. This educational class teaches new riders about snowmobiling safety and can serve as a refresher even for seasoned riders.

The class was held at the Roger Prange Municipal Center (Police Station) on Green Bay Rd. in Pleasant Prairie. Students could register on site on Friday, December 4, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Following registration on Friday evening, class was held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Class continued on Saturday, December 5, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., wrapping up with the final snowmobile safety test.

The class cost is $10 per student. Each student must register with a WI DNR Customer ID number. To obtain one, call (888) 936-7463.
